Marine Biology & Wildlife Conservation
Internship
Overview
Marine Biology Internship assignments can engage research, laboratory activities, DNA extraction, DNA sequences, and marine life project assistance.
There are different positions in animal husbandry, daily feeding, and care responsibilities for the Wildlife conservation internships. Some internship assignments can focus on Sloth rehabilitation, husbandry and cleaning tasks, and assisting other animal species. For example, working with macaw conservation and care can include overseeing a breeding group and getting to know individual birds' behaviors and needs—daily food preparation and feeding. With the relevant on-site training and monitoring, the intern might be able to take care of breeding pairs and their offspring.
Other assignments include:
Monitoring health and behavior. Breeding attempts. Regular aviary cleaning. Providing perches. Other specific interns' specialty projects.
